Board of Directors - Biographies

Biographies of the chapter's current board members follow.
 

John Grella, CBAP

President  and Treasurer

John has 42 years experience in a number of different roles in information systems starting at The Travelers and currently at the Hartford Financial Services Group. Among his roles were developer, technical lead, project manager, business analyst and data modeler. Most recently he has served as a Senior Business Analyst on source system integration into large corporate data warehouses.
John holds a Masters degree in Insurance from the University of Hartford and received the Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) designation in November, 2007.

Brendan Griggs, CBAP

Vice President (VP) Membership

Brendan has over 20 years' business analysis experience in both the private and public sector within large scale financial services/insurance organizations and governmental agencies.  Joining the IIBA in 2010, he appreciates all the resources available to stay current in Best Practices and especially enjoys performing the role of liaison between Business and Technology.  

Brendan holds a Bachelors in English and Cultural Anthropology from Fordham University and a Masters in Urban and Transportation Planning from Hunter College- City University of New York.  He received his CBAP designation in 2016.

Steven Jones, CBAP

Vice President (VP) Education

Steve is a passionate analyst and BA manager with more than 20 years of experience in improving processes, services and software; working across all areas of software development lifecycle, business change and business analysis. He rejoices in solving complex business problems and increasing process reproducibility and compliance through the application of business analysis tools, techniques and communication. He is a certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a MS in Information Management and Communications.
